female bodybuilding testosterone
There is a common misconception, especially among women that if you work out with weights you will get huge, bulky muscles. Much of this comes from our perception that women who lift weights will look like a professional female bodybuilder. Nothing could be further from the truth. Professional bodybuilders look the way they do by choice. How much muscle can women build? This article can help shed some light on the truth.
Simply lifting weights will not cause you to get massive muscles and lose your female shape. If you are afraid you will look like a bodybuilder remember that the pros are that way because of the way they train and the lifestyle they lead. In many cases anabolic steroids play a significant role in that look. Training to stay healthy and firm up will not cause you to bulk up.
So how can women tone muscle? In order to tone muscle you have to have muscle. Of course we all have muscles but some are grossly underdeveloped due to inactivity or genetics. In some cases it is better to first try and bulk up, if even a little to increase the size of the muscles that you want to tone. That doesn’t mean you will get huge but if you are underweight or “too thin” then bulking up a little would be a good idea.
How much muscle can women build? As much as they want to a point. A woman typically will never look as large as a male bodybuilder because they don’t produce enough testosterone. It takes a long time and alot of training to build large muscles. If that is what you want to do then that’s fine. If you’d rather tone and firm the muscles that you have then you need to perform lighter weights and 8 to 12 reps per set per bodypart. These weight workouts need to be combined with cardio and proper nutrition.
What’s important to remember from this article is that just because you train with weights that doesn’t mean you will get huge muscles. The type of training you do will dictate the response that you get. Remember that you do need a solid base of muscle to work with if you want to tone up.

The Testosterone Files
$13.48 Max Wolf Valerio crafts a raw, gripping, and poetic account of life before, during, and after injecting testosterone. Valerio's detailed observations about a lesbian transitioning from female to a heterosexual male highlights the physical and emotional differences between women and men, and alternately challenges and confirms readers' assumptions about gender. The Testosterone Files addresses the most fundamental issues of transitioning, from buying men's underwear to choosing a male name, as well as the profound subjects of male privilege, physical power, and existing as a male who was once distrustful and critical of men's intentions. Valerio's honest and forthcoming opinions on gender, identity, and self-perception comprise the core of this intensely personal and absorbing narrative which grapples with the tough and complex issues that emerge in a world whose assumptions about gender binaries are being increasingly challenged as more people openly self-define across the gender spectrum. |

Trends In Testosterone Research
$115.97 This book presents important and recent research on testosterone which is a steroid hormone from the androgen group. Testosterone is primarily secreted in the testes of males and the ovaries of females although small amounts are secreted by the adrenal glands. It is the principal male sex hormone and an anabolic steroid. In both males and females, it plays key roles in health and well-being. Examples include enhanced libido, energy, immune function, and protection against osteoporosis. On average, the adult male body produces about twenty times the amount of testosterone that an adult female's body does. |
